3 South Korean girl groups that cannot be ignored except BlackPink
I have listened K-pop music for more than 20 years, The most popular group at that time was H.O.T, Shinhwa,S.E.S. It was their music that accompanied my life as students.
I have to admit that South Korea has perfect system for production actor, actress, and the market function of music groups. No matter their music production or script writing, they are all top-notch. So thousands of singers may have stepped off the stage before they became famous.
In other words, many excellent K-pop groups not like BlackPink have been ignored by us for their music and talents. BlackPink’s success has luck factor for sure, of course they are very good from singing to dancing. But getting songs that suit them is also very important. So there are also important factors, they get better resources from the company. In addition, they have expanded overseas markets, and their style has been very accepted by Western countries.
I would also like to recommend three Korean girls groups that cannot be ignored. At most, they have started to develop in Japan and have not yet entered the international market. But their songs are deeply loved by many people, from singing ability to dancing are very good too.
EXID
It is a six-member girl music group established by South Korea’s AB Entertainment (renamed Gamgak Entertainment in 2014) in February 2012, and is now a 5-girl group. The name of the group means Exceed In Dreaming. Their style is very unique. A “up & down” is just a song’s time, from no-name counterattack to the general trend. It is a pity that the response to the results has been mediocre, and there have always been many twists and turns.
The album “X” is released to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his debut this year. The new song “FIRE” is really nice. I highly recommend. THIS NEEDS TO BE PERFORMED ON MUSIC SHOWS AND YEAR END AWARDS!
Mamamoo
is a South Korean girls group formed by RBW (formerly WA Entertainment) in 2014, composed of four members: Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein and Hwasa. The group officially debuted with their single “Mr. Ambiguous” on June 18, 2014. Their debut was considered by some critics as one of the best K-pop debuts of 2014. They are recognized for their retro, jazz, R&B concepts and their strong vocal performances.
The “MAMA” in the group name refers to the first word learned by all newborn babies regardless of race or country, which means that MAMAMOO hopes to bring original and instinctive music to the public across nationalities and genders.
It is my favorite K-POP group. Each member has strong strength, so the role of acting can be changed freely. They are mature and also lively, and they are really super open in various TV shows. It’s honestly insane how incredibly talented these group of women are.

ITZY
It is a five-member girl group launched by South Korea’s JYP Entertainment after TWICE in 2015. ITZY means everything that fans and the public expect, ITZY has everything (everything you want IT’Z all in us., you We have everything we want.), and condensed this ambition into a short but powerful slogan “Is there? Yes!”, thus forming a group name with both characteristics and momentum.
I think their new song sneakers is average this year, I still like their previous song WANNABE，I can listen to it 100 times.
And I prefer their new Japanese song. ITZY’s Japan singles never fails!!!
